Things that got my attention this week

In Rainbows

Radiohead is an amazing band and like with every amazing band there must be one album that must be criticized by fans and critics, that album was "Hail to the thief". After going hard with Ok Computer, Kid A and Amnesiac, Radiohead proved to the fans, critics, and haters that they are a group that is an unbelievable force so with "Hail to the thief" there had to be a downhill. I loved Hail to the thief, btw.

In Rainbows released worldwide thru the web on October 11 via the band's website. Fans had a choice to pay whatever amount of money or run with the album free, the other choice was paying $80 for a beautiful boxset that contained 2 vinyl records, 2 cd's (reg album and b sides) and artwork.

December 31st New Year's Eve Radiohead had a webcast to celebrate the physical manifestion of "In Rainbows" called "Scotch_Mist" (which was their second webcast to celebrate the album) January 1st the album came out. I don't buy albums anymore since my iPod is the core of my life, I did buy the album to support my boys.

I am in love with the album everyday and second disc is just starting to settle with me.

Batman Beyond [Return of the Joker] - unedited version-

I've been a Batman fan since childhood, watched all the cartoons when I was a kid, watched the movies growing up. I love Tim Burton's version of Batman. I hated Joel Shumacker all these years for ruining it and Christopher Nolan's version of Batman made me understand what all 3 directors were going for. Tim went for an artistic approach, Joel went for the kids (cause let's face it comic books are for kids, not for geeks) and Chris brought Batman to a more darker side.

I use to watch the cartoons as a kid like Justice league and the 60's Batman but when I got older I lost interest in cartoons cause it was aimed for kids, so therefore I thought it was cheesy. Just recently I saw a clip of Batman Beyond [return of the joker] on youtube and I thought it was so good that I searched for more clips of the Batman cartoons and I loved it. I actually think they are much better than all the actual movies combined (and I love the movies to death)

Batman Beyond showed the Joker in a very sadistic way that made me be afraid of him. I never acknowledged Mark Hamill's existence as an actor since Star Wars but his Joker is absolutely the best interpretation of Joker EVER!!

Watching the cartoons have made me crave more of the Joker and Harley Quinn, two of the bad ass couples in the history of bad ass couples. It is funny that Joker in the cartoons, comic books, and movies will always take poor Batman's thunder and rightfully so cause he is the best villain.
